Siding and roofing meet in the places that leak: where a wall meets a roof, around windows, and behind gutters. That is why the same visit can cover both.

Signs you may need this

  • Cracked, loose or missing siding pieces
  • Soft spots or rot in trim, fascia or around windows
  • Stains on an inside wall, not the ceiling
  • Siding pulled away from the house or buckled
  • Paint failing in one area over and over

How the visit goes

  1. 1. Find where the water gets behind

Most siding problems are water getting behind the surface at a joint, a window, or where a roof meets a wall.

  2. 2. Check the roof-to-wall spots

Step flashing and kick-out flashing where a roof runs into a wall. Missing kick-out flashing quietly soaks a wall for years.

  3. 3. Test the wood

Trim, corners and around windows get pressed for soft wood. Rot decides how much has to come off.

  4. 4. Match and price

Matching existing siding is not always possible. You will hear that up front, with photos and a written price.

What changes the price

We do not post prices, because a roof nobody has looked at cannot be priced. These are the things that make the job bigger or smaller.

  • • How much area is affected
  • • Whether sheathing or framing under the siding is rotted
  • • How hard your siding is to match
  • • Height, scaffolding or lift needs
  • • Trim, window wrap and flashing work included

Questions homeowners ask

Can you match my old siding?
Sometimes. Colors and profiles get discontinued. If it cannot be matched, the roofer will show you the closest option and say how different it will look.
Is the stain on my wall a roof leak?
It might be. Water that gets in high on a roof-to-wall joint often shows up on a wall, not a ceiling. An inspection sorts that out.
Do you do full siding replacements?
Tell us the house and what you want. We will be straight about what the partner roofer takes on and what they do not.
Can siding and roof work be done at once?
Often that is the smart order, because the flashing between them has to be done together to work.

Straight talk: Siding work can uncover rot that nobody could see from outside. That gets photographed and priced before it is closed back up.

What to expect

Straight answers to the questions people ask before they book.

How soon can you come out?
For most inspections and estimates, within a few days. If water is coming into your house right now, call us — active leaks jump the line.
How long will the appointment take?
Plan on 45 minutes to an hour. We walk the roof, check the attic when we can, take photos, and sit down with you to go over what we found and the written price.
Do I need to be home?
Yes, plan to be there. Sometimes we need to get into the house or the attic to find the real source of a leak. Being home also means you hear the findings straight from us instead of a phone call later.
What if it rains on my job day?
We don't tear off a roof when there's a real chance of rain. We follow a rain-percentage rule: if the forecast shows a meaningful chance of rain during the day, we push the tear-off to the next good day. Nobody races a storm with a tarp on your house.

Before we come out

Please be home, and clear a path to the attic door if you have one.

This is the list for a full roof install day. You do not need any of it for an inspection.

  • Let your neighbors know the day before — ladders and a dumpster are easier when they expect it.
  • Move cars out of the driveway and off the street in front of the house.
  • Keep pets inside, and please clean up the yard first.
  • Trim bushes and shrubs back from the sides of the house so the crew isn't standing in them.
  • Take down yard decorations, statues, solar lights and anything fragile near the walls.
  • Clear a path to the attic or crawlspace — we may need to check underneath the roof.
